At the recent Balenciaga show, Zooey Deschanel may have made some wonder, “Who is that woman?”
Former “New Girl” star, who usually wears bright retro-inspired outfits, did something different on Saturday when she sat in the front row of Balenciaga’s fall ’24 show in Los Angeles: she wore an all-black outfit.

In the post, Deschanel showed off her outfit, including a perfectly tailored black blazer, the brand’s controversial pants leggings (which cost an unbelievable $3,150), a black backpack, and Balenciaga shades. She accessorized herself with beautiful gold hoop earrings with her all-black outfit.
Deschanel also shared a photo on Instagram with her friend Tracee Ellis Ross, who was also dressed all in black, in a jacket and pants that were too big on her.
As a big change from her usual style, Deschanel’s black outfit is eye-catching. The next day, she wore a pastel blue dress to the 2023 Academy Museum Gala, which aligned with her retro tastes.
It was from the SHUSHU/TONG Fall/Winter 2023 collection called “Backrooms,” it had a midi skirt, a matched halter top, and white ruffles and bows all over it. She wore it to the gala. Her shoes were by Roger Vivier and went perfectly with her clutch. She also wore earrings by Anabela Chan and Le Vian.
The unique engagement ring that Deschanel wore with both of her outfits finished them perfectly.
