Where are ‘The Voice’ Winners Today? Dive into their Post-Victory Lives

Many winners have made it to the next round of The Voice after a brutal 15 weeks of blind tryouts, fierce battles, and nail-biting eliminations. This incredible journey began with the quiet Connecticut native Javier Colon, who won the first race in 2011. After over a decade, 22 more successful artists have taken the stage, but we're still curious: where do they stand in the fame hierarchy right now?

We get increasingly excited for the big finish when we watch the 24th season, with the amazing Reba McEntire as the new coach. We also go on a nostalgic journey to revisit the most cherished seasons, learning about the goals of famous people like Tessanne Chin, Jordan Smith, and Brynn Cartelli, forever known as The Voice champions.

Javier Colon in Season 1 (2011)

Colon entertains live crowds with his band and posts covers of well-known songs on his social media account. Colon signed a record deal with Universal Music Group after winning The Voice and released his first album, “Come Through for You.” He later broke up with the label and moved to Concord Records, where he released “Gravity” in 2016. Colon wrote on his official website about the record, “I aspired to craft a work where my artistic identity could flourish without constraints. Musical autonomy was paramount, and I was enveloped by a supportive environment that encouraged my artistic liberation.”

After that, Colon didn’t release any new records, but in 2013, he started a weekly show called “Inside Voice with Javier Colon,” which he co-hosts with Jenn Bosworth. In 2022, he was also the judge for Connecticut’s “Let’s Hear It” singing challenge.

Jermaine Paul in Season 2 (2012)

The virtuoso, nominated for a Grammy, is currently CEO of CJAS Music and still performs live. As Blake Shelton’s first victory as a coach, Paul’s coronation was a turning point that led to a collaboration on the song “Soul Man.” He then released a string of singles, including “I Believe in This Life,” “Working Sista,” “Next to You,” and most recently, “Water,” which hit the airwaves in 2019.

When Paul thought about how he changed as an artist on The Voice, he said, “This life-changing journey sharpened my artistic acumen. Blake’s insightful questions and musical ideas sparked my clarity of expression, bringing my message to a wider audience.”

Cassadee Pope in Season 3 (2012)

The musician, whose most recent songs are “Almost There,” “Coma,” and “Wasting All These Tears,” performs live in Tennessee with Natalia Taylor and Sierra Annie.

Pope became the first woman to win The Voice, and her solo country album, “Frame by Frame,” went straight to the top of the Top Country Albums chart when it came out in 2013. After this, she released two more country music albums, “Stages” and “Thrive.” But in 2022, she returned to her pop-punk roots, saying, “This forthcoming project embodies an authenticity that has hitherto eluded me… Pop and rock music permeate my creative essence, and this homecoming resonates deeply.”

She released “People That I Love Leave” in April 2023, then a new version of “Wasting All These Tears” in October, switching from a country sound to a pop-punk one.

Danielle Bradbery in Season 4 (2013)

Bradbery’s “A Special Place Tour” in 2023 includes her new song “The Day That I’m Over You.” She also grows her fan base with a tour documentary series called “My Human Diary.”

When Bradbery was finished training with Shelton, she released her first album, “Danielle Bradbery,” in 2013. Her second album, “I Don’t Believe We’ve Met,” came out in 2017. As of 2018, she began reinterpreting well-known songs, like Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain,” giving her fans a symphony of familiar tunes. In 2019, “Charlie’s Angels” featured the masterpiece “Blackout” in its music.

She teased fans with the idea of a “new era” of musical expression in an honest interview with Hollywood Life in April 2023. She said, “My trajectory has been a series of transformations, commencing at the tender age of 16—an age of vulnerability. It’s an eternal process of self-discovery and artistic evolution. Life unfolds, and we, as humans, adapt and grow.”

Tessanne Chin in Season 5 (2013)

Chin is in charge of the creative development program called “Voice Box,” which helps young artists between the ages of six and eighteen improve their skills. At the same time, she presents “Surreal,” a new piece of music that will be released in September 2023.

Jamaican superstar Shaggy provided the spark that propelled Chin to the hallowed halls of The Voice, where she was crowned as Team Adam’s victorious contestant in season five. She then wowed audiences with many live shows, sharing the stage with famous people like Lauryn Hill, Sean Paul, and Damian Marley. In an exciting part of the story, she sang for former President Barack Obama at the White House in March 2014.

Her musical journey started when her album “Count On My Love” came out in July 2014 on Republic Records. But she chose to be independent in 2015, and the release of the song “Fire” marked her break from the label. After that, she performed on big stages, like at the 42nd Daytime Emmy Awards, while running “Voice Box” and making music.

Josh Kaufman in Season 6 (2014)

Kaufman sings with his band, The New Etiquette, and also gives lessons and classes on sonic production, singing, playing the guitar well, and writing songs.

Boyd made his Grand Ole Opry debut and quickly visited 65 towns after being named the winner in season seven. He started with an album called “Self-Titled” in 2008 and went on to release three more albums called “I Ain’t No Quitter,” “Top Shelf,” and “From the Inbetween.” Songs like “I Walk the Line” and “Boots On,” which featured the famous Shelton, were big hits.

Smith became the most popular contestant on The Voice and won with Team Adam’s help. She will go down in history as the most popular contestant ever. His meteoric rise was primarily due to his performance of “Mary, Did You Know?” After that, he released three albums, including “Something Beautiful,” “‘Tis the Season,” and “Only Love.” Interestingly, he represented Kentucky in the American Song Contest in 2022 and won third place with the captivating song “Sparrow.”

In 2020, he released the melodic track “Back 2 The Future.” In April 2021, he released “Moon.”

Chloe Kohanski in Season 13 (2017)

Following her win for Team Blake, the artist began a musical journey, changing her stage name to Chloe MK and producing songs independently. Her journey as an artist ended with the release of “Fantasy” in 2019 and the ethereal song “Cosmic” in 2020.

In an interview with The Luna Collective in 2021, Kohanski talked about how her first album came to be. She said, “This album begins an unapologetically raw journey. Working with my best friend, we wove the tapestry of this album from the ground up. We crafted every composition and note together, culminating in a symphony of imperfection.”

Brynn Cartelli for Season 14 (2018)

Cartelli, who won the competition at 15, started a musical journey with Atlantic Records and was nominated for a People’s Choice Award for “Competition Contestant of 2018.” In January 2019, she opened for Kelly Clarkson on her “Meaning of Life Tour.” In May 2021, she released her first EP, “Based on a True Story,” which went straight to the seventh spot on the iTunes Charts.
